Our Magical Memories is a one-person studio working in a warm Americana tradition — the storytelling humanity of a Saturday-evening magazine cover crossed with the golden, lamp-lit glow of a country cottage at dusk.
Meet Renee
Renee grew up outside Cedar Hollow, Ohio, in a house where the porch light stayed on until the last person was home. Her childhood was fields and gravel roads, a hound who met the school bus, a grandmother's kitchen that ran on cinnamon and gossip, and a Main Street where the hardware store owner knew everyone's middle name.
Years later she started making pictures of it — not documentary pictures, but the version memory keeps: a little warmer, a little more golden, the windows always lit. That is the whole project. Every piece in this gallery is trying to reproduce a feeling rather than a place.
The two variants
Each artwork is finished in two ways. Watercolor is airier and quieter — soft washes, pale skies, plenty of breathing room, lovely in a bright room. Oil is deeper and richer — heavier shadow, thicker light, more drama in the glow. Same scene, two temperaments. Choose whichever matches your wall.
Craft, curation, and how the work is made
The studio's process is part traditional and part modern. Compositions are developed with AI-assisted tools as a drafting partner, then selected, corrected, colour-graded and finished by hand until the piece says what it's supposed to say. Most drafts never leave the studio; the ones that do have been reworked many times over.
We mention this plainly because you deserve to know what you're buying: a curated, hand-finished piece of art made with contemporary tools in a very old tradition. What you're paying for is the eye, the editing and the feeling — the same thing you've always paid an artist for.
